Clearing the Air on Akshay Kumar
Ayesha Jhulka recently addressed long-standing rumours about her relationship with her Khiladi co-star Akshay Kumar. She admitted that there was a mutual attraction between them, which is normal when working closely together. However, she emphasized that their connection was based on friendship, not romantic feelings. “We’ve always had a fondness, but it wasn’t just physical attraction,” she clarified.
Setting the Record Straight on Mithun Chakraborty and Nana Patekar
Jhulka also tackled the rumours surrounding her involvement with senior actors Mithun Chakraborty and Nana Patekar. She denied any romantic relationships with either actor and found the gossip inappropriate. “It’s embarrassing to be linked with senior actors like Mithun,” she said. “He always treated me like a kid, and there was no romance.”
She further expressed discomfort at being tied to these older actors in such rumours, saying, “I hate to talk about people who are older.”
Addressing Manisha Koirala’s Breakup with Nana Patekar
Rumours had also suggested that Jhulka’s friendship with Nana Patekar caused Manisha Koirala to break up with him. Ayesha firmly dismissed these claims. She explained, “It didn’t have anything to do with an affair. We were just friends and had a fun relationship.” She assured the public that these allegations were baseless.
Reflections on Friendship and Celebrity Gossip
Ayesha reflected on how friendships with co-stars often get misinterpreted. “At that age, it’s naivety,” she shared. “I have more male friends than female friends, but that doesn’t mean we are romantically involved.”
She pointed out that she has moved on from this chapter in her life. “We’ve crossed that age, and I no longer give these rumours much thought,” she concluded.
