The construction of the natural gas pipeline connecting Tripura and Mizoram is progressing steadily, with officials confirming that 45 per cent of the project has been completed so far.
The project is being executed by Indradhanush Gas Grid Limited (IGCL) under the North East Natural Gas Pipeline Grid, and is expected to be fully operational by December 2027.
Project Route and Key Details
The 119.5-kilometre pipeline will start from the Panisagar receiving terminal in Tripura and traverse several key locations in Mizoram, including:

The pipeline will then reach near Mamit before proceeding towards Lengte, finally terminating at the proposed Sihhmui receiving terminal, located approximately 21 km from Aizawl.
